Debuting for 2004, the eleventh-generation F-150 was engineered with an all-new boxed frame featuring hydroformed steel rails that dramatically increased stiffness. Exterior styling was marked by taller cargo bed walls and a commanding front grille. Cab options included Regular Cab, SuperCab with reverse-hinged doors, and spacious SuperCrew models.

Engines included a 4.2-liter V6, a 4.6-liter Triton V8, and a 3-valve 5.4-liter Triton V8 generating 300 horsepower. Safety scores improved significantly, leading to the 2004 North American Truck of the Year award while extending the F-Series position as America's top-selling vehicle.
