Introduced in October 2006, the tenth-generation Corolla (E140/E150) marked a strategic separation of body styles. While the Corolla badge was retained for four-door sedans and station wagons (Axio/Fielder in Japan), the hatchback variant was rebranded as the Toyota Auris for European and Asian markets.
