3About this generation
The ninth-generation Sentra: a new body, two large screens and the familiar 2.0 engine with a CVT.
The ninth-generation Nissan Sentra (B19) entered production in 2025 for North America as a 2026 model-year car, with Chinese production starting in January 2026. The sedan is slightly longer than the B18 it replaces and wears a new body with slim headlamps linked by an LED strip and a more sloping roofline.
Technically the Sentra sticks to a proven formula: a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre petrol engine of about 149 hp, an Xtronic CVT and front-wheel drive. The chassis was retuned for quietness and ride comfort, and cabin sound insulation was improved.
The main changes are inside. Upper trims get two 12.3-inch screens under one hood, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Bose audio system with headrest speakers and Zero Gravity seats. The Safety Shield 360 package includes front and rear automatic braking, blind-spot warning and lane keeping.
