The seventh-generation Cadillac De Ville (1994–1999) was built strictly as a four-door sedan on GM's K-body platform with Northstar V8 power.

The seventh-generation Cadillac De Ville was produced from 1994 to 1999 on GM's front-wheel-drive K-body architecture. Dropping the coupe variant, De Ville was marketed strictly as a full-size luxury sedan. It featured smooth aerodynamic body styling stretching over 206 inches in length. A comprehensive 1997 mid-cycle facelift restyled the front fascia, grille, fenders, and door moldings. The performance-focused De Ville Concours model highlighted the lineup with upgraded powertrain and chassis tuning.

Initial base sedans used the 4.9-liter V8 (200 hp), replaced in 1996 by the 4.6-liter 32-valve DOHC Northstar V8 producing 275 horsepower in standard trim and 300 horsepower in the Concours. Transmissions were 4-speed automatic 4T80-E transaxles. Advanced electronics included StabiliTrak stability enhancement, CVRSS adaptive suspension, side airbags, and Bose sound systems.
