The fifth-generation Suzuki Wagon R (MH34S) was manufactured from 2012 to 2017 with Eene-Charge hybrid tech.
Debuting in September 2012, the fifth-generation Suzuki Wagon R (MH34S/MH44S series) achieved a 70 kg weight reduction over its predecessor. It debuted Suzuki's green technologies, including the 'Eene-Charge' system which recovered kinetic energy during braking into a compact lithium-ion battery, alongside 'Eco-Cool' air-conditioning storage.
Power came from the new R06A 660 cc three-cylinder engine delivering 52 hp in atmospheric trim and 64 hp in turbo trim. A 2014 mid-cycle update (MH44S) introduced the upgraded 'S-Eene-Charge' system featuring an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) electric motor assist to boost efficiency during launch and acceleration.
