The fourth-generation Mitsubishi Lancer, designated under the C50, C60, and C70 series codes, was introduced in 1988. Featuring streamlined body aesthetics with smooth contours and expanded glass surface area, it was available as a four-door sedan and a three-door hatchback. This iteration showcased significant technical advances, including permanent all-wheel drive and four-wheel steering configurations on flagship trims.
