Mitsubishi Lancer IX (CF) gallery (2017–2024)
The Lancer IX (CF) vehicle generation was manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors from 2017 to 2024 and offered in sedan body configurations.
The ninth-generation Mitsubishi Lancer, commercialized as the Grand Lancer under the CF model code, was launched in 2017 by China Motor Corporation in Taiwan. Representing a comprehensive redesign of the preceding GS platform, it incorporated Mitsubishi's corporate 'Dynamic Shield' front styling language with sculpted side body panels. It was produced exclusively as a four-door sedan. Engineering of the Lancer IX (CF) (factory code CF) emphasized high structural rigidity, aerodynamic efficiency, and optimized interior spatial packaging. Built with reinforced body structures utilizing high-tensile steel alloys, the platform delivered reduced curb weight alongside improved occupant crash protection. The vehicle was distributed globally in multiple configuration packages designed to satisfy diverse market demands and regional regulatory specifications.
The interior was updated with a digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch central infotainment touchscreen. Power was provided by a 1.8-liter 4J10 MIVEC naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine outputting 140 horsepower, paired exclusively with a Jatco CVT8 continuously variable transmission featuring a 6-speed manual mode. Production officially concluded in 2024. The powertrain lineup incorporated efficient engine families paired with robust manual, automatic, or continuously variable transmissions depending on trim selection. Drivetrain engineering integrated advanced suspension tuning and traction management systems. Periodic mid-cycle cosmetic and technical updates refreshed front-end aesthetics, lighting technology, and cabin infotainment features, maintaining competitive positioning across international consumer segments throughout its production lifespan.
