The fourth-generation Hyundai Avante (HD chassis) launched in 2006 with sweeping body lines and an independent multi-link rear suspension setup. In South Korea, Hyundai introduced an LPG-powered LPi Hybrid trim.
Engine selections highlighted new 1.6-liter Gamma CVVT (121 hp) and 2.0-liter Beta II petrol engines paired with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions.
