Hyundai reveals fifth-generation Tucson pricing in South Korea
Hyundai Motor has published the South Korean price list for the fifth-generation Hyundai Tucson crossover. In its home market, the base gasoline model is priced at 31.4 million won, which at the current exchange rate equals about 1.9–2.0 million rubles.
In South Korea, pricing for the new model is distributed across trims as follows (hybrid prices are shown including domestic tax incentives): the 1.6 Turbo H-Pick version costs 31.40 million won (around 1.9–2.0 million rubles), the 1.6 Turbo Inspiration trim is 37.90 million won (approximately 2.3 million rubles), the hybrid 1.6 Turbo Hybrid H-Pick variant will cost 36.15 million won (around 2.2–2.3 million rubles), and the top-tier 1.6 Turbo Hybrid Inspiration is priced at 42.70 million won (about 2.6 million rubles).
With the generation change, the crossover has grown in dimensions: the wheelbase increased by 30 mm, while the overall body length grew by 60 mm. This made it possible to expand legroom for second-row passengers and increase the luggage compartment volume. The vehicle's exterior is styled in the brand's current design language with distinctive "H"-shaped lighting. Inside, there is a large central infotainment display and a compact digital instrument cluster in front of the driver.
The entry-level gasoline modification received an upgraded 1.6-liter turbocharged engine producing 193 hp — 13 hp more than its predecessor. The previous 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) has been replaced by a conventional 8-speed automatic transmission. The updated hybrid powertrain combines a 1.6 gasoline engine and a 65-hp electric motor, delivering a combined output of 245 hp.
Official deliveries of the new Hyundai Tucson to the Russian market are not planned, though the crossover may arrive in the country through the parallel import scheme. Potential arrival dates and ruble prices for Russian buyers remain unknown.
