Hyundai launched the Ioniq V electric sedan with up to 650 km of range

Sales of the new Hyundai Ioniq V electric sedan have launched in the Chinese market. The model was developed by the South Korean company's Chinese design center, but the automaker plans to bring the novelty to other markets in the future as well. The base price of the electric vehicle is 109.9 thousand yuan (about 1.38 million rubles), while the top-spec modification is priced at 139.9 thousand yuan (approximately 1.76 million rubles). At launch, a special promotional program is also in effect, reducing prices to 99.9–131.9 thousand yuan (1.25–1.66 million rubles). For comparison, the domestic Lada Iskra is sold in Russia within a similar price range, costing 1.277 million rubles in the base version with a 90 hp engine and manual transmission, and around 1.7 million rubles in the top version with a 106 hp engine and automatic transmission.

Buyers of the Hyundai Ioniq V are offered five different trim levels: 540 Pro (109.9 thousand yuan, 1.38 million rubles), 540 Max (119.9 thousand yuan, 1.5 million rubles), 540 Max+ (129.9 thousand yuan, 1.63 million rubles), as well as the long-range 650 Max (129.9 thousand yuan, 1.63 million rubles) and 650 Max+ (139.9 thousand yuan, 1.76 million rubles). The vehicle dimensions are 4.9 m in length, 1.89 m in width, and 1.47 m in height with a wheelbase of 2.9 m — the sedan is only 10 mm shorter than the classic Hyundai Sonata. The aerodynamic drag coefficient of the body is 0.23 Cd. Eight exterior color options are available for the model: gold, green, gray, purple, black, silver, as well as white and matte white.

The electric car's interior features a 27-inch dual display for the instrument cluster and multimedia, as well as a head-up display. The steering wheel has an oval shape, and the transmission selector is mounted on the steering column. The center tunnel provides wireless smartphone charging, a 15-liter storage box, and a pair of cup holders. The infotainment complex is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 microchip, while driver assistance is handled by the Momenta system with the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) highway autopilot function. The luggage compartment capacity is 465 liters.

The Ioniq V sedan is built on an 800-volt architecture. The entry-level version is equipped with a 53.5 kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate battery and a 188 hp electric motor, providing a range of 540 km on the CLTC cycle (443 km according to the WLTP standard). The extended-range modification received a 66.8 kWh battery and a motor with an output of 225 hp, providing a driving range of up to 650 km on CLTC (533 km on WLTP).
