The second-generation Hyundai Avante (J2/RD) ran from 1995 to 2000, featuring bio-design styling and the Avante Touring estate.
The second-generation Hyundai Avante (J2/RD platform) launched in 1995 featuring rounded contours. The line included a four-door notchback sedan and a five-door estate badged as the Avante Touring.
Engines highlighted Hyundai's home-grown 1.5-liter Alpha and 1.8-liter/2.0-liter Beta 16V petrol engines producing up to 140 hp. A 1998 facelift updated front bumpers and light lenses.
