BMW 7-series photos

The flagship BMW 7-series debuted with the E23 generation, delivered exclusively as a four-door luxury sedan powered by inline-six engines paired with manual and automatic transmissions. The succeeding E32 generation introduced a long-wheelbase variant, advanced electronic stability systems, and a flagship V12 engine.

The E38 generation refined the sedan with an aluminum-intensive suspension setup, modern diesel powertrains, and integrated digital navigation systems. The subsequent E65/E66 era introduced a revolutionary electronic architecture, the first-generation iDrive controller, and standard six-speed automatic transmissions.

Generations F01/F02 and G11/G12 implemented widespread turbocharging, eight-speed gearboxes, all-wheel drive, and Carbon Core composite body construction.
