About this generation

The second-generation F74 Gran Coupe refreshed BMW's compact four-door with dynamic styling, standard mild-hybrid powertrains, and BMW Operating System 9.

Unveiled in late 2024, the F74 2 Series Gran Coupe introduced a bolder design with revised body proportions, sharper front lighting, and clean exterior surfacing. Built on an upgraded front-wheel-drive architecture with enhanced chassis rigidity, the new model offers sharper steering precision and refined ride comfort for dynamic daily driving. The interior highlights BMW Operating System 9 on the signature Curved Display alongside standard leather-free interior materials and modernized ambient lighting controls.

Under the hood, all petrol and diesel engines incorporate 48V mild-hybrid assistance and mate exclusively to a seven-speed dual-clutch Steptronic transmission. The range-topping M235 xDrive delivers 300 horsepower for spirited all-wheel-drive performance. The F74 generation ensures the four-door compact coupe remains a stylish entry point within BMW's lineup, delivering contemporary digital capabilities, distinctive visual presence, and confident chassis behavior.
