Unveiled in February 1966 alongside the L20, the third-generation Suzuki Carry (L30 series) introduced a cab-over design with the engine under the front bench seat, dramatically expanding cargo space.
It utilized the 359 cc FB two-stroke twin-cylinder engine (21 hp) and 3-speed manual gearbox driving the rear axle.
