About this generation

The fifth generation of the Kia Sportage crossover with Opposites United futuristic design, hybrid variants, and two wheelbase options. The model combines proven engineering reliability, refined.

The fifth-generation Kia Sportage (NQ5) was introduced in mid-2021, showcasing Kia's Opposites United design identity with boomerang LED daytime running lights and a sweeping Tiger Nose grille. Built on the N3 platform, it is offered in two body lengths for the first time: a short-wheelbase version for Europe (4,515 mm) and a long-wheelbase version for Korea and North America (4,660 mm). The interior features a panoramic curved dual 12.3-inch display panel. This generation of the Sportage (NQ5) was in production since 2021 and offered in внедорожник body styles. Built on an engineered platform, it features strong structural rigidity, refined aerodynamics, and advanced occupant safety engineering.

Powertrains range from 1.6-liter T-GDI turbo petrol (150-180 hp) and 2.5-liter GDI engines to 1.6L/2.0L CRDi diesels, plus self-charging Hybrid (HEV, 230 hp) and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV, 265 hp) variants. Drivetrain options include front-wheel or all-wheel drive with Terrain Mode. A 2024 facelift introduced vertical Star Map LED lighting, a redesigned steering wheel, and a head-up display. The powertrain lineup features modern engines optimized for thermal efficiency, balancing responsive acceleration with economical fuel consumption. Power is delivered through reliable manual or automatic transmissions.
