Kia Unveiled the PV7 Electric Van Offering 268 HP and 460 KM of Range

Kia has officially unveiled the new PV7 commercial electric vehicle, which will be available in both passenger and cargo configurations. The vehicle is designed to compete directly with the Ford E-Transit Custom. The manufacturer has not yet revealed official pricing; however, according to foreign industry sources, sales are scheduled to begin in 2027.

The new model is built on the dedicated E-GMP.S platform, which it shares with the smaller PV5 van while exceeding it in overall dimensions. Passenger versions will offer interior configurations with seven, nine, or eleven seats. The Kia PV7 cargo van is rated to transport up to 1.2 tonnes of cargo and can accommodate up to three standard Euro pallets.

Regardless of the chosen body style, the electric vehicle is equipped with a single electric motor producing 268 hp. At the initial sales launch, the model will be offered exclusively with front-wheel drive, but the lineup will later be expanded with an all-wheel-drive version. In total, more than 20 different modifications have been announced for the family.

Range figures have currently been disclosed only for the cargo version in the Long Range trim: driving range on a single charge reaches 460 km. The architecture supports ultra-fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10 to 80% in 20 minutes. An additional practical feature of the model is the presence of two charging ports at once, located at the front and rear.
