The III (XG) generation of the Hyundai Grandeur was manufactured between 1998 and 2005. The third-generation Hyundai Grandeur (XG chassis) debuted in 1998 as Hyundai's first independently engineered executive sedan.
Featuring frameless side window glass and plush leather interiors, it utilized Sigma V6 engines from 2.0L to 3.5L (197 hp) paired with H-Matic automatics. Throughout its production run, the III (XG) established a strong reputation for powertrain efficiency, passenger comfort, and structural reliability.
