GMC Yukon IV (K2UG / K2XX) photos

The fourth-generation GMC Yukon was unveiled in late 2013 and launched for the 2015 model year on GM's K2XX platform (chassis code K2UG). The exterior adopted a sharper, more chiseled aesthetic with inset doors that reduced wind noise and improved aerodynamic efficiency. Powertrains shifted to the EcoTec3 family featuring direct injection, continuously variable valve timing, and cylinder deactivation: a standard 5.3-liter V8 generating 355 hp and an optional 6.2-liter V8 rated at 420 hp on the Denali trim. Transmission options evolved over the generation: early models used the 6-speed 6L80, Denali trims initially utilized an 8-speed 8L90 automatic, which was upgraded for the 2018 model year to the ultra-smooth 10-speed 10L80 transmission.
