GMC Yukon III (GMT900) gallery (2006–2014)

The third-generation GMC Yukon debuted in 2006 for the 2007 model year, engineered on General Motors' GMT900 platform. The new generation stood out with significantly sleeker exterior lines, a flush front fascia, and a vastly refined cabin. The standard powertrain lineup included a 4.8-liter V8 and a 5.3-liter Vortec V8 (320 hp) equipped with Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation technology. The flagship Yukon Denali received an exclusive all-aluminum 6.2-liter Vortec V8 developing up to 403 hp, paired with a brand-new 6-speed 6L80 automatic transmission. From 2008 to 2013, GMC also offered the Yukon Hybrid, utilizing a 6.0-liter V8 coupled to GM's advanced Two-Mode Hybrid system. Beginning in 2009, the 6-speed automatic was standardized across 5.3-liter models, completely phasing out the legacy 4-speed units. The vehicle remained a staple in North America and GCC markets.
