2027 GMC Sierra 1500 Pricing Announced With Up To 481 Horsepower

General Motors has released official pricing and output specifications for the 2027 GMC Sierra 1500. While the automaker initially debuted the redesigned pickup in June with an all-new exterior and interior design alongside new powertrains, key figures regarding price and horsepower were kept under wraps until now.

For the 2027 model year, GMC has streamlined the lineup by dropping the SLE and SLT trims. The full pricing structure has not been disclosed yet, but GMC detailed pricing for the four-wheel-drive crew-cab configurations across six available trim levels. All announced figures include the destination charge. The entry-level Sierra 1500 Pro starts at $51,295, followed by the Sierra 1500 Elevation at $59,995. The off-road-focused AT4 begins at $73,495, while the luxurious Sierra Denali starts at $76,795. At the top of the range, the rugged AT4X is priced at $85,495, and the flagship Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate tops out at $87,895.

GMC is introducing notable powertrain updates across the 2027 Sierra family. The standard engine for the Pro and Elevation trims is an upgraded 2.7-liter TurboMax turbocharged four-cylinder. Benefiting from redesigned pistons, an upgraded fuel injection system, and new turbochargers, it delivers 350 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque—representing gains of 40 hp and 25 lb-ft over the previous version.

Customers also have access to two newly developed V8 engines. A new 5.7-liter small-block V8 comes standard on the AT4 and Denali trims and is available as an option on Pro and Elevation. It generates 402 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque, offering a maximum towing capacity of up to 13,500 pounds. For maximum gasoline performance, a new 6.6-liter V8 develops 481 horsepower and 501 pound-feet of torque; this engine comes standard on the Denali Ultimate and is optional on the AT4X.

Additionally, the 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel inline-six remains in the lineup, producing 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. The diesel is standard equipment on the AT4X and available as an option on the Elevation, AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate.

The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 is scheduled to arrive at dealerships by the end of the year. Pricing for additional cab styles and bed configurations will be announced at a later date as production ramps up.
