GMC Sierra 1500 VI gallery (2027–present)

The sixth generation of the full-size GMC Sierra 1500 pickup arrives for the 2027 model year, featuring a ground-up redesign of its exterior and interior alongside a modernized chassis architecture. GMC streamlined the lineup by retiring the long-running SLE and SLT trim levels. The restructured range now spans the entry-level Pro, street-styled Elevation, off-road-oriented AT4 and heavy-duty AT4X, as well as the luxury-focused Denali and top-tier Denali Ultimate. Initial availability focuses on four-wheel-drive Crew Cab configurations, with additional cab formats and cargo bed lengths scheduled to join production later.

The powertrain roster receives significant updates, offering enhanced performance across the board. The base 2.7-liter TurboMax turbocharged inline-four features redesigned pistons, upgraded fuel injection, and revised turbochargers, raising output to 350 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque—an increase of 40 hp and 25 lb-ft over the previous generation. Two newly developed small-block gasoline V8s join the lineup: a 5.7-liter unit delivering 402 hp and 428 lb-ft with up to 13,500 pounds of towing capacity, and a high-performance 6.6-liter V8 generating 481 hp and 501 lb-ft. The 3.0-liter Duramax inline-six turbo-diesel carries forward with 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque.
