The sixth-generation Cadillac Series 62 was built during 1959 and 1960 on GM's X-frame platform. The 1959 model became iconic for its record-tall tailfins crowned by dual bullet taillights. The 1960 update featured lowered fins. Available in 4-window and 6-window hardtop sedans, coupes, and convertibles. Iconic tailfins exceeding 42 inches in height with dual bullet taillights became the ultimate symbol of 1959 Space Age design. For 1960, the body profile was refined with lower, more understated fin contours.

Powered by a 390 cubic-inch (6.4-liter) V8 generating 325 horsepower with a 4-barrel carburetor, paired with a 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic.
