Volkswagen Passat IX (B9) gallery (2023–present)
The ninth-generation Passat is offered exclusively as a Variant station wagon on the MQB Evo chassis, featuring long-range eHybrid plug-in systems.
The Volkswagen Passat B9 (Typ CJ) was unveiled in August 2023. Co-developed alongside the Skoda Superb, it is produced at VW's Bratislava plant. Reflecting shifting market preferences toward SUVs, the B9 dropped the sedan body style entirely, offered exclusively as the spacious Passat Variant station wagon. Overall vehicle length grew by 144 mm, maximizing rear passenger space and boot capacity up to 1,920 liters.
Underpinned by the MQB Evo platform, the cabin showcases a massive 15-inch MIB4 touchscreen and a steering-column gear selector. Powertrains feature 1.5 eTSI mild hybrids, 2.0 TDI diesels (122–193 hp), 2.0 TSI 4Motion models (265 hp), and eHybrid plug-in options delivering 204 to 272 hp with an electric driving range of up to 100 km.
