Toyota Harrier II (XU30) gallery (2003–2013)

The second generation Toyota Harrier luxury crossover (XU30 series) debuted in Japan in February 2003. Wearing an athletic body with a fastback-inspired roofline, teardrop headlamps, and clear LED taillights, the design achieved an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.33. The opulent interior was equipped with memory power seats, a power liftgate, an electrochromic panoramic glass roof, multi-zone climate control, and a millimeter-wave radar adaptive cruise control system.

Initial engines were a 2.4-liter 2AZ-FE four-cylinder (160 hp) and a 3.0-liter 1MZ-FE V6 (220 hp), which was succeeded in 2006 by a 3.5-liter 2GR-FE V6 delivering 280 horsepower. In 2005, Toyota introduced the Harrier Hybrid (MHU38), combining a 3.3-liter 3MZ-FE V6 with dual electric motors via THS II for a total output of 272 horsepower and E-Four electric all-wheel drive. Transmissions included five-speed automatics, and top trims offered electronically controlled AIRS air suspension. Exported globally as the Lexus RX 330/350/400h, production continued through 2013.
