The fourth-generation Suzuki Escudo compact crossover (YE21S) was sold in Japan from 2015 to 2024.

Reintroduced to Japan in October 2015, the fourth-generation Suzuki Escudo (YE21S series) was an imported version of the European-built Vitara IV. Transformed into a B-segment subcompact crossover with unibody construction, it featured Suzuki's AllGrip Select electronic 4WD system with Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock driving modes.

Initially launched with a 1.6-liter M16A engine (117 hp), it transitioned in 2017 to a 1.4-liter K14C Boosterjet turbo engine (136 hp) paired with a 6-speed automatic. A 2022 update introduced a 1.5-liter K15C Dualjet Full Hybrid (HEV) system paired with an AGS automated manual. Japanese sales officially concluded in April 2024.
