Hyundai Elantra IV (HD) gallery (2006–2011)

The fourth-generation Hyundai Elantra (HD) sedan was manufactured from 2006 to 2011 featuring wavy shoulder lines and new Gamma engines.

The fourth-generation Hyundai Elantra (HD platform) was presented at the 2006 New York International Auto Show. Characterized by flowing body lines and an elongated 2,650 mm wheelbase, the HD featured a multi-link rear suspension setup that enhanced ride comfort and handling stability. In South Korea, Hyundai introduced the LPi Hybrid variant powered by liquefied petroleum gas.

Powertrain highlights included new 1.6-liter Gamma CVVT (122 hp) and 2.0-liter Beta II (143 hp) four-cylinder engines, as well as a 1.6-liter CRDi turbodiesel. Transmissions consisted of a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic. Cabin materials were updated with soft-touch plastics and blue backlighting.
