About this generation

The seventh-generation Hyundai Elantra (CN7) entered production in 2020 featuring Parametric Dynamics styling and K3 platform engineering.

The seventh-generation Hyundai Elantra (CN7 chassis) debuted in Hollywood in March 2020. Built on Hyundai's lightweight K3 platform, the CN7 grew longer, lower, and wider with a extended wheelbase. The exterior design showcased Hyundai's Parametric Dynamics identity, featuring sharp geometric body cuts and a four-door coupe roofline.

Powertrain variants feature 1.6-liter Smartstream (123 hp), 2.0-liter Smartstream (149 hp), a 1.6-liter HEV hybrid (139 hp), and a 2.0-liter turbocharged T-GDI producing 280 hp in the high-performance Elantra N model. A 2023 mid-cycle update introduced slimmer split front grilles, updated LED light graphics, and refreshed wheel choices.

Next-Generation Hyundai Elantra N Spotted Testing for the First Time

A heavily camouflaged prototype of the next-generation Hyundai Elantra N has been spotted on a car trailer in South Korea with wider fenders and 275/30ZR19 tires. The redesigned sports sedan is expected to adopt a larger 2.5-liter turbocharged engine to replace the current 2.0-liter unit.
