The first-generation Geely Okavango mid-size crossover SUV, carrying the internal codename VX11, was introduced in 2020 as the Haoyue in China before being exported globally. Built on an updated evolution of Geely's NL platform, it features a front-wheel-drive layout with front MacPherson struts and rear torsion beam or multi-link suspension arrangements. The vehicle's bold exterior highlights a prominent grille design coupled with boxy wheel arches. Power originates from a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-three gasoline engine delivering 177 horsepower, frequently paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Power transmission is handled by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Interior modularity serves as a core strength, offering three seating rows capable of folding completely flat into the load floor. Standard and optional features comprise a fully digital instrument cluster, a widescreen infotainment display, panoramic sunroof, three-zone automatic climate control, and driver assistance equipment. The Okavango was distributed across Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Eurasia.
