The second generation sedan debuted in late 2021 as the Geely Emgrand L with model code FE-5, directly superseding the Emgrand GL. The model introduced a dramatic exterior redesign featuring a massive Energy Matrix front grille, sleek LED headlights, and reshaped aerodynamic bumpers. Engine choices include a 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 141 horsepower paired with a CVT, alongside the advanced Emgrand L Hi-P plug-in hybrid variant combining a 1.5 liter turbo engine with an electric motor and 3 speed DHT gearbox. The hybrid powertrain generates a combined 317 horsepower with an electric range up to 100 km.
