The first-generation Ford Falcon is an iconic Australian full-size vehicle produced from 1960 to 1966.

The first-generation Ford Falcon launched in Australia in September 1960 with the XK series. Derived from the US Ford Falcon, local manufacturing quickly adapted the chassis for tough Australian road conditions. Body variants included a four-door sedan, station wagon, hardtop coupe, and traditional utility pickup (Ute).

The generation evolved through XK, XL, XM, and XP series updates. Power was supplied by inline-six engines in 144 ci, 170 ci, and 200 ci displacement options. The 1965 XP series introduced a heavy-duty subframe structure that proved the Falcon's legendary durability during a non-stop 70,000-mile endurance test at You Yangs proving ground.
