About the model
The Audi A4 launched in 1994 with the B5 generation, succeeding the Audi 80 and staying in production until 2001 as a sedan and Avant estate with longitudinal engines and quattro all-wheel drive.
The second generation B6 from 2000 to 2005 and third generation B7 from 2004 to 2008 expanded the lineup with a convertible alongside the sedan and estate. These generations introduced refined multi-link suspension systems, direct-injection powerplants, and continuously variable transmissions.
The fourth generation B8 was produced between 2007 and 2015 as a sedan and estate, featuring a redesigned chassis with the front axle shifted forward to improve weight distribution and driving dynamics.
Generation five B9 ran from 2015 to 2025 in sedan and estate formats, built on the lightweight MLB Evo platform with modern digital cockpit systems and updated turbocharged engine choices.

Audi's Upcoming Electric Targa Sports Car Will Share the Next Porsche 718 EV Platform
Porsche CFO Jochen Breckner confirmed that the production version of the Audi Concept C, known internally as C-Sport, will use the dedicated electric architecture developed for the next-generation 718 Boxster and Cayman. Next-Generation Audi Q7 Earns Five-Star Euro NCAP Safety Rating
European safety organization Euro NCAP has tested the new-generation Audi Q7, awarding the SUV a maximum five-star rating alongside a 100% score for post-crash safety. At the same time, testers noted weak head protection for cyclists and increased frontal impact severity for oncoming vehicles.
