The second-generation Volkswagen Vento (60) was a subcompact sedan produced from 2010 to 2022 for international emerging markets.
The second-generation Volkswagen Vento subcompact sedan with body code 60 debuted in 2010, engineered on an elongated variant of the PQ25 platform for markets including India, Mexico, Russia (where it was badged as the Polo Sedan), and the Middle East. Designed for tough road conditions, it combined a robust body structure with raised ground clearance and a heavy-duty suspension setup.
Engine options for the Vento 60 featured naturally aspirated 1.6-liter MPI gasoline engines, a 1.2-liter TSI turbocharged option, and 1.5-liter or 1.6-liter TDI turbodiesels. Transmissions included five-speed manuals, six-speed Tiptronic automatics, and seven-speed DSG dual-clutch boxes. Periodic facelifts in 2015 and 2019 brought redesigned bumpers, chrome trim, LED headlamps, and modernized touchscreen infotainment.
