The third-generation Volkswagen Saveiro coupe utility with body code G5 launched in 2009 using the transverse-engine PQ24 architecture. Innovations included the introduction of a five-passenger Double Cab layout and rugged Saveiro Cross off-road trim packages.

Power comes from 1.6-liter EA111 and EA211 flex-fuel engines generating up to 120 hp, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. A major refresh in 2023 introduced redesigned front lighting and bodywork.
