About this generation

The second-generation Volkswagen Lavida (2012–2018) was China's best-selling passenger car built on the PQ35 platform.

The second-generation Volkswagen Lavida launched in 2012 built upon the PQ35 architecture, bringing styling aligned with the Passat B7. In 2013, the range expanded to include the Gran Lavida hatchback/wagon and Cross Lavida off-road variant.

Powertrains comprised 1.6-liter MPI, 1.2 TSI, and 1.4 TSI EA211 engines paired with manual or seven-speed DSG gearboxes.
