The third-generation Toyota Voxy, designated R80, launched in January 2014. Built on an all-new low-floor platform, the R80 maximized interior height and ingress convenience. The front styling adopted an intimidating look featuring stacked LED headlight units and a massive front grille. A hybrid option was added to the lineup for the first time.

Powertrain choices included a 2.0-liter 3ZR-FAE petrol engine (152 hp) with Super CVT-i, alongside a 1.8-liter hybrid system delivering 136 total system horsepower. A comprehensive 2017 update brought Toyota Safety Sense driver aids and introduced a Gazoo Racing GR Sport variant with chassis stiffening and tuned sports suspension.
