Debuting in 1960, the iconic 40 Series (J40) remained in production for nearly a quarter of a century. Engineered with a heavy-duty ladder frame, solid front and rear live axles on leaf springs, and signature flat body panels topped by a white roof, the J40 was produced in short (FJ40), medium (FJ43), and long (FJ45) wheelbase variants across soft-top, hardtop, pickup, and chassis-cab body styles.
