The 300 Series (J300) introduced in 2021 adopted the GA-F platform, shedding 200 kg and transitioning to twin-turbo V6 powertrains. The model achieved widespread global popularity due to its reliability and practicality.
Unveiled globally in June 2021, the 300 Series (J300) is built upon Toyota's TNGA GA-F body-on-frame platform. This architecture reduced overall vehicle weight by 200 kg, lowered the center of gravity, and increased frame rigidity by 20%. The design features a bold grille statement and slim LED headlamps, while the cabin adds a 12.3-inch display and fingerprint start authentication. Engineers paid meticulous attention to structural body rigidity, minimizing noise, vibration, and harshness levels while enhancing cabin material quality. The refined chassis architecture delivered excellent ride comfort and predictable handling characteristics across both urban streets and high-speed highways.
The J300 replaced legacy V8 engines with twin-turbocharged V6 units: a 3.4-liter V35A-FTS petrol (415 hp) and a 3.3-liter F33A-FTV diesel (299 hp), both mated to a 10-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission. Full-time 4WD incorporates three electronic locking differentials and electronic E-KDSS. The J300 remains in active production. High levels of active and passive safety were corroborated by outstanding crash test results and comprehensive driver assistance technologies. Thanks to exceptional mechanical endurance and robust powertrain engineering, this generation earned global acclaim across all major automotive markets.
