Produced from 2007 to 2011, the fourth-generation Subaru Justy (M300 series) was a badge-engineered version of the Daihatsu Sirion / Boon subcompact hatchback. Powered by an economical 1.0-liter 1KR-FE 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 69 hp, it was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The MacPherson strut front suspension setup paired with the refined rear suspension layout struck an optimal balance between highway composure and smooth absorption of road surface imperfections. The engineering setup effectively combined the low center of gravity inherent to the horizontally-opposed engine layout with a rigid chassis frame, delivering precise handling and composure across dry pavement and slippery surfaces alike.
