Subaru Justy III (G3X) gallery (2003–2007)
The third generation G3X Justy was a crossover-styled subcompact based on the Suzuki Ignis with elevated ground clearance.
Manufactured in Hungary from 2003 to 2007, the third-generation Subaru G3X Justy was built alongside its sister model, the Suzuki Ignis II. Featuring a raised ride height (170 mm) and crossover styling accents, it was available with Suzuki 1.3-liter (94 hp) and 1.5-liter (99 hp) petrol engines, as well as a 1.3-liter DDiS turbo-diesel option. The engineering setup effectively combined the low center of gravity inherent to the horizontally-opposed engine layout with a rigid chassis frame, delivering precise handling and composure across dry pavement and slippery surfaces alike. Engine bay packaging ensured optimal front-to-rear axle weight distribution alongside efficient thermal cooling under sustained driving loads.
Petrol variants featured viscous-coupling all-wheel drive, while the diesel version was front-wheel drive. Minor trim updates were introduced in 2005 before production concluded in 2007. Designers placed a strong emphasis on cabin ergonomics, occupant visibility, and long-distance driving comfort. Robust mechanical reliability across the drivetrain and suspension components helped establish this generation as a benchmark choice within its competitive market segment worldwide.
