The Rolls-Royce Silver Spur III entered production in 1993, delivering crucial mechanical, safety, and comfort enhancements to the SZ platform. The 6.75-litre V8 engine underwent extensive revisions, featuring redesigned cylinder heads, a new intake manifold, and a sophisticated Zytek EMS3 digital engine management system that enhanced both horsepower and throttle response. The powertrain was paired with the 4-speed GM 4L80E electronically controlled automatic transmission. In terms of passenger safety and interior luxury, the Silver Spur III introduced standard dual airbags for front occupants, along with redesigned independently adjustable rear seating configurations and updated bespoke wood veneer treatments. Exterior styling updates included refreshed wheel trims and subtle aerodynamic adjustments to mirrors.
