Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit III (SZ) gallery (1993–1995)
The third series of the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit was released in 1993 with a modernized engine and key safety upgrades.
The third-generation Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit III arrived in the autumn of 1993, bringing substantial mechanical and safety enhancements to the mature SZ luxury platform. The 6.75-litre V8 engine received completely redesigned cylinder heads, an upgraded aluminium intake manifold, and an updated Bosch Motronic 2.7 management system, delivering noticeably higher output and smoother acceleration. The four-speed GM 4L80E electronic automatic transmission was standard equipment across all markets. Safety was significantly boosted with the integration of dual front airbags as standard, while the rear seating compartment gained independently adjustable power seats for rear passengers. Suspension tuning was revised to refine the active damping system, resulting in flatter cornering without compromising traditional ride plushness. Subtle visual revisions featured integrated body-colour bumper valances and updated exterior mirrors. The Mark III was sold worldwide through Rolls-Royce's luxury dealership network.
