Initially launched as the ES 300 with a 210-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 engine and a five-speed automatic transmission, the lineup was upgraded for 2004 to the ES 330, introducing a 3.3-liter 3MZ-FE V6 rated at 225 horsepower. Available technical features encompassed Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC). A 2004 refresh introduced a redesigned front grille, projector fog lamps, updated taillights, and ventilated front seats.
