The fourth-generation Lexus ES sedan (chassis code XV30) debuted in 2001 for the 2002 model year. Emphasizing luxury and serenity, the exterior featured a swept-back roofline, distinctive almond-shaped headlights, and enhanced sound-dampening materials.
