Isuzu Elf IV gallery (1984–1993)
The fourth generation of the Isuzu Elf was manufactured from 1984 to 1993 and became a global model marketed worldwide under the N-series designation.
The fourth-generation truck relied on a newly engineered rigid platform featuring a distinctive angular design with quad rectangular headlights. The body lineup offered standard and wide cabs, various chassis lengths, and four-wheel-drive 4WD modifications. Under the hood were efficient direct-injection diesel engines ranging from 2.5 to 4.3 liters, paired with manual transmissions. Key updates compared to the previous generation included the widespread adoption of direct-injection diesels, the addition of a 4WD option, and a substantially modernized driver environment. A major facelift in 1987 updated the front grille and bumper configurations. The model was successfully distributed in Japan, North America, Asia-Pacific countries, and the Middle East, establishing a lasting reputation for durability and commercial reliability.
