About this generation
The second-generation Hyundai Bayon debuts with larger proportions, angular styling, a curved dual-screen dashboard, and a full-hybrid powertrain.
The second-generation Hyundai Bayon adopts an updated front-wheel-drive architecture and grows significantly in size compared to the first generation. The crossover measures 4,245 mm in length and 1,810 mm in width, representing increases of 65 mm and 35 mm respectively, while riding on a 2,600 mm wheelbase. The five-door body showcases a sharper, more angular exterior treatment characterized by prominent sheet metal creases, rugged lower cladding, a full-width horizontal front light bar, and projection LED headlamps. A dedicated N Line trim adds exclusive 18-inch wheels, a sporty rear diffuser, and dual exhaust tips.
The interior has been modernized with a curved panoramic display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Physical controls are retained on the center stack alongside vertical air vents, wireless smartphone integration, digital key functionality, ventilated front seats, reclining heated rear seats, and a premium Bose sound system. Cargo capacity reaches 440 liters on conventional gasoline versions and 397 liters on the hybrid model.
At market introduction, power is provided by a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine producing either 90 hp or 115 hp, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. A full-hybrid powertrain combining a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor for a total output of 136 hp, managed by a six-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle-operated regenerative braking, joins the lineup at a later date.
