The fifth-generation Hyundai Azera (HG platform) premiered in early 2011. Penned under the Grand Glide styling theme, the HG combined sweeping Fluidic Sculpture character lines with a muscular rear haunch profile. The extended 2,845 mm wheelbase provided class-leading rear legroom.
Powertrain technology featured direct-injected 2.4-liter Theta II GDI, 3.0-liter Lambda II V6 (270 hp), and 3.3-liter Lambda II GDI V6 (293 hp) engines, plus an available Azera Hybrid. All engines were paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. A 2014 refresh revised LED fog light clusters and updated dashboard infotainment.
