The sixth-generation Hyundai Azera (IG chassis) debuted in November 2016. Adopting a stately design, the IG featured a wide front cascading grille and signature connected rear LED light bar. A major 2019 mid-cycle redesign extended the wheelbase by 40 mm and introduced an innovative Parametric Jewel front grille featuring illuminated diamond-shaped LED elements integrated into the headlamps.
Engine technology featured Smartstream 2.5-liter, 3.0-liter V6, and 3.5-liter Lambda III V6 petrol engines (290 hp), paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and advanced SmartSense ADAS driver aids.
