The fourth-generation Hyundai Azera (TG chassis) debuted in 2005, adopting the Azera nameplate globally for export markets while retaining Grandeur in South Korea. Built on Hyundai's Y5 platform, the TG grew larger in all dimensions, offering LED taillights, dual exhaust tips, and sophisticated cabin acoustic insulation.
Engines included 2.4-liter Theta II, 2.7-liter Mu V6, 3.3-liter Lambda V6 (up to 260 hp), and a range-topping 3.8-liter Lambda V6 (265 hp), alongside a 2.2-liter CRDi diesel. A 2009 facelift brought updated chrome grilles, modern wheel designs, and new six-speed automatic gearboxes.
