Buick Roadmaster VII (Series 70 / 75) gallery (1957–1958)

The seventh-generation Buick Roadmaster was produced for the 1957 and 1958 model years on the full-size General Motors C-body platform. For 1957, Buick introduced a larger 364 cubic inch (6.0-liter) Nailhead V8 delivering 300 horsepower, coupled to a Variable Pitch Dynaflow automatic transmission. Body configurations included Riviera two-door and four-door hardtops, a convertible, and the pillarless Caballero Estate Wagon. The range was crowned by the lavish Roadmaster 75 series, featuring leather-trimmed interiors and extensive standard power equipment. The 1958 model year brought an audacious restyling with quad headlamps, massive tailfins, and the famous Dynastar front grille composed of 160 chrome facets, alongside the optional Air Poise air suspension system. Following the 1958 model run in North America, Buick retired the Roadmaster nameplate, replacing its flagship position with the all-new Electra 225.
