BMW X4 photos

The first-generation BMW X4, designated F26, launched in 2014 to expand the brand's sports activity coupe portfolio. Sharing its mechanical foundation with the contemporary X3, it featured a longitudinal engine layout and standard xDrive all-wheel drive. Propulsion was provided by turbocharged inline-four and inline-six petrol and diesel engines, predominantly matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

In 2018, the second-generation G02 entered production and ran through 2024. Migrating to a newer modular platform, it featured an extended wheelbase, broader track dimensions, reduced curb weight, and a lower center of gravity. Design changes brought slimmer horizontal LED tail lights and a more muscular shoulder profile.

A mid-cycle update in 2021 refreshed the G02 with a redesigned one-piece kidney grille, updated front and rear aprons, modernized digital cabin interfaces, and enhanced driver assistance packages, maintaining the model's focus on dynamic performance throughout its run.
