Debuting in 2018, the second-generation G02 X4 expanded upon its predecessor's design with bolder, more athletic proportions. A 54-millimeter increase in wheelbase created enhanced rear passenger comfort while wider track dimensions significantly sharpened high-speed cornering stability. The rear profile was defined by ultra-slim horizontal LED taillights, clean surface transitions, and integrated dual exhaust outlets that accentuated its performance intent.

The cabin featured high-grade Vernasca leather, ambient lighting options, and the BMW Live Cockpit Professional interface. Mechanically, the G02 utilized lightweight high-strength steel chassis construction with tuned M Sport suspension. Powertrains ranged from efficient four-cylinder mild-hybrids to the potent M40i and M40d variants, capped off by the high-revving X4 M Competition delivering 510 horsepower to all four wheels with supreme confidence.
